 Dr. Brooks at Million Dollar Round Table
 

Dr. Brooks has been a Main Platform speaker at the annual meeting of the Million Dollar Round Table and has made presentations to groups such as the New England Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, Triumvirate Environmental, Inc., the National Association of Real Estate Companies, Jordan's Furniture, and the varsity coaches at Harvard University. He has done an audiotape for the corporate world on "Achieving Balance: Overcoming Overload in Your Work and Personal Life" and has also lectured on such important topics as: building personal and professional self-confidence, dealing more effectively with stress and pressure, and creating success strategies in all spheres of one's life.

In addition to his speaking engagements, Dr. Brooks has consulted to business, mental health, media, and educational groups including SOFTBANK/COMDEX, ArQule, Work/Family Directions, WCVB-TV, the ABC affiliate in Boston, and the Governor's Alliance Against Drugs. He has helped staff of organizations to articulate short term and long term goals, enhance problem solving skills, define and overcome obstacles to change, learn ways to deal with stress, and foster more effective working relationships among colleagues.

The recipient of numerous professional, community and government awards, Dr. Brooks is on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and has served as the Director of the Department of Psychology at McLean Hospital. He is also on several national professional advisory boards and has made more than 200 appearances on television shows in the Boston area and on national cable television discussing a variety of psychological topics. He completed a videotape for PBS that focuses on the topic of resilience and self-esteem. He is frequently cited in newspaper and magazine articles, including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Newsweek, Time, and Parents. He is the author or co-author of thirteen books and numerous articles and book chapters.
